Relatively affordable upgrade to improve performance (applies to most netbooks)
Performance:
1) Hardware
a) Memory -
Most of the stock netbook comes with 1 GB of memory and all of them can be replaced by a piece of 2GB memory.
(standard DDR2 6400 SO-DIMM is compatible to most netbooks)
b) Flash Memory -
In Microsoft Windows 7, there is a feature called “ReadyBoost” which allows a flash memory to be used as a standard RAM.
2) Software
a) Ramdisk
Ramdisk is a software which enables a system to use a set amount of memory to act as a hard disk drive.
To take advantage of it, create 512MB or 256MB ramdisk and allow the followings point to the new ramdisk.
